Here we go again, Wiesn-season (Oktoberfest) is in full swing and when we’ll wake up from our delirious beer state in a few days, we are going to realise, that it’s finally time to say good-bye to our summer wardrobe and transition into autumn. I have always liked this season though, things get a little calmer, the sun is smoother, the colours more vivid. There’s something melancholic about seeing nature perish, whilst cuddling up in an oversize knit cardigan and reminisce about summer.

What to wear this Autumn?

What I also love about autumn is that it’s not too hot and not too cold, so you can still wear your favourite dresses and slippers, but you can also add a nice wool coat or cardigan, a pair of cute socks and accessories like huge knit scarfs, chic hats and rugged boots. Layering is key during this season and that’s exactly what I like. Something which you’re going to see me wear a lot these coming months are plaid blazers, jackets and coats.

Checks add instant class and coolness to any outfit and I like the current trend to wear a sleek checkered blazer or coat over a hoodie or a worn-in band t-shirt. I could have paired my wool Prada blazer with a basic pair of jeans, or a pleated velvet maxi skirt, but I liked to overdo it a bit with the patterns and added this Beetlejuice pair of jeans by The Seafarer. If you like wearing socks in heels, slippers, or loafers, now is the time to do it! I cannot wait to wear my Högl chain loafers with a cute pair of socks, but they also look cool with bare ankles, don’t you think? They will be perfect for running around during Paris Fashion Week, there’s nothing better than a ‘cool on the outside / comfortable on the inside’ pair of shoes. So what I’ll do is enjoy the craziness of the fashion crowd and looking forward to a quiet and romantic walk through Paris at night – it’ll be like the storm before the quiet.

I am Wearing: Prada Vintage Wool Blazer, Diesel T-Shirt, The Seafarer Stripe Jeans, my·eliza Silver Armcuffs, Céline Trio Bag, Högl Chain Loafers
